The Marion High School girls soccer team opened its season Tuesday night with a 2-2 draw against Freeburg as part of the Metro Cup Tournament. Both of Marion's goals were scored by Blake Clark Collecting assists for the Lady Wildcats were Marissa Basi and Maddie Goodley. Marion plays again at the tournament on Thursday night with a match against Father McGivney and on Friday against Bethalto Civic Memorial. Both matches will be at Freeburg High School. The event concludes with crossover play on Saturday.
